Please note: The campground is located at New Camp, not Mecca Beach. This is the first campground on the north end, at sites #41-46.

Enjoy the convenience of a modern bathhouse featuring private flush toilets and hot showers. There’s ample shade provided by oak, palm, & tamarisk trees.

It’s been so long that I’ve lost track of how many years we’ve been gathering here. I estimate this is our 20th year of coming together along the shore of California’s largest inland body of water, a place that is equal parts curiosity, tragedy, accident, and natural beauty.

Join your friends and fellow members of the Airheads Beemer Club for three nights of camping at the annual Salton Sea Rendezvous in the Salton Sea State Recreation Area. It’s a weekend filled with riding, relaxation, exploration, camaraderie, stunning scenery, and a lively Saturday night taco fiesta. Bring along everything you need to stay sheltered, warm, fed, and hydrated. Your host will provide snacks and beverages to keep the event lively throughout the weekend, culminating in a Saturday night Tijuana-style street taco cookout for all attendees.

Explore the natural wonders of the region, including the town of Bombay Beach, the intriguing sights of Slab City and Salvation Mountain, geothermal mud pots, and the enclave of art and artists at East Jesus. To the north in the town of Mecca, you’ll find gas stations, grocery stores, and excellent Mexican restaurants, along with a date farm along the way thats open to the public for tasting and purchasing.

Come and experience the strange and wonderful desert; it’s an adventure you won’t forget.
