This is an update to what we originally posted for May 4th in Clayton, NC. I couldn’t edit the original … so here’s the new / improved version of the event.
- What: One of the realities is that finding quality mechanical support for vintage BMW’s is an increasingly difficult challenge. Even the newest airhead is now officially listed as an “antique” vehicle. With many mechanics and shops now “aging out”, and some in our community not able to do things on their own, finding new options is critical.
- How: In Clayton, NC, a shop has opened with both great facilities … an ability to support airheads … and a staff that is young and hungry. The owner, Robert Wiggins, is a lover of vintage bikes and is looking to build a community that he can support … and, frankly, that we can leverage. Win / win if there ever was one.
- When: The weekend of May 4th and 5th, 2024. Doors open at 8am for an open house. Onsite camping not available but several affordable hotel options close to the shop. Food trucks and other dining options available!
- Where: Vintage Moto USA, 120 Rock Pillar Rd, Clayton, NC 27520. More details on the shop can be found here: https://vintagemotousa.com/
