First, happy to report that I just added this project RS to my stable and can't wait to enjoy it after some work.  One discovery was this has a Turn signal buzzer.   What marketing genius every thought this would be a nice thing to add?!?!?!  Seriously annoying.  So  my question for the knowledge crew.  What is the easiest way to diasable this, is there a relay that can be pulled?  I have been reading different thoughts on this.

LOL, I know what you mean,  I don't have the buzzer but a friend does and following him in a turn with his signals on is annoying.

From what I understand, you can just pull the plug on the buzzer without any special wiring fuss.  Just insulation to keep it from shorting out on something.  St.

• Correct, unless the noise maker is part of the flasher relay.
• Finding the culprit should be easy. Just follow your ears.

They were usually mounted under the left side cover near the battery tray.  St.

I ran across this issue when replacing the wiring harness on my 81 RT. Looking at schematic (see attached) frobuym EME for '79-80 RS and RT it shows the buzzer with a blue and blue-red wire going to it. There is also a buzzer relay. On schematic for '81-86 RS and RT the buzzer is not in system. I may be wrong (not first time nor last) but it maybe a European version bike. I'd disconnect the blue wire at the buzzer. It comes from terminal 30 of buzzer relay.

Thank you all!

I am ressiting the temptation to work on the RS until I finish the 100RT in my basement (soon!) .

I will be very happy to learn it is as easy as pulling a relay, whiich can hopefully serve as a spare elsewhere.

but.. geez, I would love to have been in THAT marketing meeting to see how this was ever a good idea 😉

A "wiring diagram" (aka Schematic) only tells you where the part is in the circuit... not where it is physically located on the bike.
