PLEASE IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PERFORM A TASK THEN PLEASE GO ONLINE OR ASK A FELLOW AIRHEAD MEMBER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO WORK ON THESE BIKES ( TECH DAYS ARE GREAT) I RECENTLY PULLED APART A R100 WITH STRIPPED NUTS AND VALVE COVER GASKETS THAT SOME MORON HAD SHELLAC ON THEM ......ARE YOU KIDDING ME PLEASE STOP AND ASK IF IN DOUBT .....THERE IS GREAT SATISFACTION IN DOING THE JOB CORRECTLY....AND THATS JUST THE FIRST THINGS I FOUND ON THIS R100 👿 WITH ONLY 25K ON IT ....OK RANT OVER HOPE THIS HELPS RIDEFAST99
Sorry about the stripped nuts, I don't know my own strength.... and the shellac was my wife's idea.....the sheen matched her fingernail polish....... 😛

I have encountered similar "issues" with bikes local Airheads have brought to me for TLC . We call the folks who do the "kludges" Monkeys!! They may know autos and other brands but NOT Airheads!!
It falls on us old guys to point the new owners in the correct direction. 🙂
