Square Air Box Insulation

Topic starter
Does anyone have any experience or information on how to insulate the air box for cooler air entering the carbs?

The only thing I can think of is to go to NAPA and buy a roll of blank gasket material. They offer it in various thicknesses. Get the thickest they offer (or double-up), and using the air box as a template, cut a piece to go between the engine and air box.
I suggest gasket material because it won't fall apart over time. It's already fairly rugged material.
Hope this helps.
Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
