side cover decal alignment
I have a guy painting my R75/6 tinware and he was curious about decal alignment on the sidecovers. One of my sidecovers was broken so I replaced it with a new aftermarket one. The one remaining sidecover I provided him was presumably factory stock (see attached), and to his eye, the decal was slightly out of line with the lines of the sidecover. This made him think this might have been purposeful so that decal aligns with ground when on the bike. In other words, side cover is not perfectly horizontal when bike is resting on both tires. The alternative is that the decal was applied slightly off-kilter from the factory or later on at some point. He wants to know how the decals should be applied.
Can anyone please shed some light on this and perhaps check decal alignment on their bike? Any information on this issue greatly appreciated!
