Might as well make it purty . . .

I have the front end off the R80 and am waiting for some new steering stem bearings ($8.80 ea, vs. $29 ea from BMW).
I figured I might as well clean up that poorly finished lower triple clamp while I waited. The factory cast seams were pretty nasty, so I filed them off, and smoothed the rest, then polished it up a bit:
I like it a lot better without that big ugly seam around the middle.

However, any more moves like this are likely to get you appointed as a Club officer. π
