Fuel Line Leak
Just to contribute my 1.5 cents to all the fine contributions above...
IMHO the secret to any maintenance scheme (of any type machine) is to learn what items should be done concurrently. On the Airhead, for example, you don't change the rear tire without lubing the drive splines.
Likewise, the fuel lines are best checked (or replaced) when the air filter housing is apart for air filter maintenance. At that point, the LH air box is already removed and replacing the long crossover fuel line is only inhibited by the loosening of 1 nut and the removal of the RH air box cover.
This opportunity also presents the best time to get the fuel line lengths correct. Having worked professionally on motorcycles for decades, I'm not aware of another brand that requires such close attention to fuel line lengths. And so with the air intake snouts removed, very close measurements and adjustments are easy to implement.
And so by combining several tasks into a single disassembly, many maintenance items are more easily completed, and a broader array of preventive maintenance carried out. This is a much, much better plan than simply waiting on the next item to break.

Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
