71 /5...the rear brake pedal pivot point is lubricated via a grease fitting (07 11 9 960 260) that's a flush type fitting vice the standard grease zirks we're all used to. My question is what you're using to apply grease here. I've been looking, and have found only one flush fitting nozzle ( https://www.saeproducts.com/flush-fitting-couplers-saesfn.html), but it's $45....yikes? Interested to know what others use to grease here. All the other grease fittings I've found on the /5 are standard zirks, so easily greased with a standard grease gun fitting.

Subman,

Do an internet search on 'grease gun needle nose adapter' and lots of options pop up. One style adapter will fit into the standard zerk nozzle on your grease gun, another style replaces the zerk nozzle. $10 is a typical price, you probably don't need a professional quality adapter.

There are really 2 ways and several variations within each choice...

• You can buy a small grease gun an Amazon if you'll look up "needle nozzle grease gun". They run about $14 and you load them with bulk grease from a tub. A plastic picnic spoon works great for loading. HERE

• You can buy a "needle nozzle" adapter to put on your standard grease gun. It's a small piece about 1.5" long with a "needle" on one end and a Zerk on the other. These are typically more than the gun (above), but generally more practical since you won't need to stock tub grease and tube grease. HERE

You can use these to lube your swing arm bearings too.

Hope this helps.
