Howdy All,
I have a blown RH fork seal. I ride a 92' R100 GSPD. I've ordered new fork seals and in the mean time I'm researching how to complete this task. Looking for some advice and possible guidance to help me along.
I recently moved up into the Flathead Valley in Montana. We live in Whitefish. Hoping to connect with local airhead members, get more familiar with this area, and learn more about my bike too.
Thanks for any advise and comments!

Did you get any help with changing the fork seals? If not, contact me and I can e-mail you some great instructions.

Hi,

Yes, I would be happy to have some instructions for changing out the fork seals on my 92' R100 GSPD.
I haven't changed them yet. I was able to clean the fork tubes and use the "fork seal mate" to re-seat the old seal and stop the leak.
I see you live in Anchorage? I was raised in the Palmer ( Butte) area.
Thanks!

Also check the fork tubes. Sometimes the seals will be good, but there will be a small nick or ding in the fork tube that "pumps" oil past the seal and the forks go up and down.

Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
