Is this forum dead or are things just dead in Texas?  I'm in San Antonio and would be interested in Airhead activities.  If there isn't anything in the area then i'm not sure it's worth rejoining for another year.

Count yourself lucky, I'mthe only current member in my region and I only know 1 other airhead owner here at the moment. I still figure membership is worth it just for the knowledge here if nothing else.

I live down in the RGV, in Mission. Agreed, there doesn’t seem to be any ABC activity in Texas. I think there might be a tech day once a year in the Dallas area … but not even sure about that.

There was an ABC flag flying at the Hill Country Hangout (San Antonio BWW Riders Assoc) a few weeks ago in Kerrville. I was there along with a whopping 5 or 6 airheads.  It was a good time, the SABMWRA guys are good folks.

@4949 thanks for the info. I’ve heard good things about the event in Kerrville but was wondering who put it on. I’ll check out the SABMWRA group. Hopefully I’ll see you at an event at some point

Same issue in Oklahoma. The Air Marshall and I use to go for rides. I have an infant now so time is limited and want to spend it with the kiddo before my next deployment. Not much interest in ABC membership in this area either.

I moved to Texas a few years ago and brought my 71 R60/5 with me from WV, that I had owned for close to ten years. The Airhead community on the East Coast is awesome with Tech Days and Festival of Fives every year. I was kinda disappointed with lack of Airhead activities in and around Texas. That along with the much higher speeds needed around here led me to turn Gerty into a 2000 R1150GS that I commute daily about 70 miles  from the North Austin area to Fort Hood (Yes, I said Hood). The GS is a great bike and I love it too, but I am really jonesing to get back on an Airhead. I hope to stumble upon an R90/6 or better sometime time soon and would dearly love to attend Tech days and campouts again.
