For some reason, recently, the motto “Recycling the Legendary Motorcycles of Germany since 1991” caught my eye on the Airmail cover. It didn’t sound correct. Has it been changed?

In the July Airmail, page 24, T Hille writes “Preserving the Legendary… “.  Now, that sounds right.  “Recycling” seems kinda cheesy.

David,

Good Morning. I see your point! For those in the club that coverts their airhead to a cafe racer or bobber, would that be considered recycled or preserved? LOL To me"preserve" sounds better than recycle.

I'll join the "preserve" camp.

OK, does anyone know if it was “Preserving” in the past?  When the club started?

I was an early-ish member, but I don’t keep old Airmails, or have anyway of looking back. Just sounds right to me.

The last unpublished Airhead issue under Jan it was "a non-profit association
recycling ‘The Legendary Motorcycles of Germany’ since 1991"

To me "Preserving" would mean keeping close to stock. "Recycling" could be anything up to melting them down to make something new.

While I have nothing against people converting their Airhead (key word "their") to bobbers and cafe racers, that is closer to recycling the preserving/
