New rider (bought my first bike - 2004 1150RT - in September last year). I am looking to change my own tires, and wanted to get a wheel balancer. I've looked at the BikeMaster Wheel Balancer and Truing Stand on Revzilla - but it sounds like it won't work for the back wheel of the Beemer because it has lugnuts. Anyone know a good balancer to buy that works for both front and rear wheel of the Bmw bikes?
Check marcparnes.com Looks like you would need Kit BML. I purchased his balancer for my ‘78 R100. It is very high quality and super sensitive. If you achieve balance with this thing, you will be pleased with the results. He also has wheel weights, and good advice if you call him.
I second Marc Parnes's balancer. You can find cheaper, but won't find better. Plus, with his, you can order by bike application, i.e. your 1150RT, albeit not an Airhead.
