Schuberth S2 Helmet Alert !!
I purchased one of the Hi-Viz Schurbert S2 helmets in January from Competition Accessories. One of the big drivers for this purchase was the integrated Bluetooth communications package. Upon installing the collar that holds the comm unit, I noticed that the black plastic air dam, that sits on the exterior right under the chin, was coming off the helmet on BOTH ends. There are 5 attachment points, and the end 2 points had given up.
Even though the purchase price was deeply discounted, this is the most I'd ever spent on a helmet. The Customer No-Service department at Competition Accessories was absolutely no help at all. Schuberth Germany did not respond. To say I was deeply disappointed and discouraged would be an understatement.
Finally, Schuberth USA was located. In talking to Jesse James at Schubert USA, I learned that this seems to be an infrequent, but recurring issue when installing the Bluetooth unit onto the S2. They were highly apologetic and graciously offered to repair the helmet or send replacement parts at no charge. Kudos to Schuberth USA.
If you own an S2 you might check it, especially if you've installed, or anticipate installing, the comm unit. These attachment devices show up as tiny (2mm) square-headed rivets around the outside of the exterior trim pieces. If you see loose trim pieces or missing "rivets", then call Schuberth USA at 949-215-0893.
Hope this helps.

I lost 2 of those square fasteners (and backs) from my S2....about a month after purchase (without the SRC)...
I contacted Schuberth and received an email within 24 hours from one of Schuberth s representative. ...
Long story short, I received the replacement fasteners in about a week... I was also told that a dab of hot glue on the back (inside) portion of the fastener would ensure that it would stay put.
I've since contacted Schuberth on another occasion and received the same excellent customer support.
Yes, my findings exactly. Those "rivets" are more akin to the common nylon cable tie than any fastener. There is a "spike" that is inserted through the hole from the outside of the helmet. Then the "receiver" which incorporates a small ratchet device, similar to the aforementioned cable tie, is fitted in the helmet interior, and the tail of the spike pulled through to tighten the assemblage.
Just don't pull too hard. Stop applying tension when all the parts are drawn up correctly. Do not apply extra force by drawing the tail through the ratchet one extra click. More does not seem to be better with these small nylon devices.
