R100 RS header pipes
I just discovered today my left header pipe has a hole in it. Does anyone have spare headers hiding in their pile of parts they'd be willing to part with that would fit my '83 R100 RS?
You may not believe this, but common silicone sealer is a great way to seal exhaust leaks, and it lasts 12 to 18 months. Use the silver colored sealer and it almost disappears against the chrome.
Also a great way to seal leaks in the cross-over pipe.
Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
I bought some JB Weld exhaust leak product that is very similar to their regular stuff as this product says it can be filed etc. Picking up my exhaust nut wrench this week to take a look at both sides and do the fix. I figure I can patch the holes and file it down enough to clear the nut.
