pulse air emission system

If one were to remove the emission system that injects air into the exhaust tract, the port in the head can be capped with a drain plug. From memory, that would be the engine oil drain plug - 18x1.5 - correct?

I found the answer to my question on the EME site. It's a 16x1.5 plug.Â

There is also the airfilter box to consider. The right/left air injection tubes can be plugged with a timing aperture plugs. There is also a small hole in the bottom/front of the airbox that allows access of a vacuum hose that enables the "pulse". Each of these holes are downstream from the filter and provide the opportunity to draw un-filtered air into the motor. Additionally, you will want to close off the vacuum ports, on the bottom of carburetors. Â

This is extremely important to order to control the fuel mixture.
Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
