pulse air emission system
If one were to remove the emission system that injects air into the exhaust tract, the port in the head can be capped with a drain plug. From memory, that would be the engine oil drain plug - 18x1.5 - correct?
I found the answer to my question on the EME site. It's a 16x1.5 plug.
There is also the airfilter box to consider. The right/left air injection tubes can be plugged with a timing aperture plugs. There is also a small hole in the bottom/front of the airbox that allows access of a vacuum hose that enables the "pulse". Each of these holes are downstream from the filter and provide the opportunity to draw un-filtered air into the motor. Additionally, you will want to close off the vacuum ports, on the bottom of carburetors.

This is extremely important to order to control the fuel mixture.
Owning an old Airhead is easy.
Keeping an old Airhead running great is the true test.
