Have a77 R100S with a Neff front end and a Velorex 560 sidecar. Current Koni shocks/springs feel way too stiff. Anyone with experience with aftermarket units and folks who will work with me to figure out correct spring/shock rates?

Thanks in advance.

Ted Porter at Porter's Beemer Shop is really good on 2-wheelers, but you may need a sidecar specific source.

Thanks. Been in touch w/Ted who put me onto his shocks guy, Jeff. Unfortunately, they're backed up w/work so I was just looking for alternatives. FWIW, I'm also in touch w/the folks at Hagon but having to deal with the UK directly (the Cali dealership folded) is a bit of a pain.

I had a rig a few years back. An R100/80/7 with a velorex sidecar. It was very similar to your except that mine had a stock front fork with dual ATE disc brakes. My rig had Progressive shocks on the rear and I had no complaints. I weigh 240 pounds. If your Koni's are too stiff at the softest setting, you might try to get lower tension springs for them or go to swapping out shocks. That can be an expensive hobby. You could also try adding weight to the sidecar. I used to carry 3, 50 lb. sandbags. Of course, you have to take 'em out for your passenger.
