Friends, I need your help. When I go to remove the battery side covers on my 82 R100RT the right side has two retaining clips attached to the frame that the curved part of the battery cover slips in behind (see attached photo). With the bungee-chord-like band holding the front of the covers together this works just fine. However, the other side of the frame the two retaining clips have broken off from the frame. You can see and feel where they were located.

Question, was this original to the bike or are these retaining clips a custom made attempt to keep the covers on? If they were original to the bike can someone tell me what part this is.....I cant find them anywhere?
