Anyone recently have feedback on EPCO stainless exhaust of OHIO? Have a friend with their sport exhaust on R100 nice construction! Heard negative feedback in 2008?

My /7 came to me with stainless mufflers, and the photos on the EPCO web site make them look like the ones I have. I can only say that mine have developed a light yellow band amidships, where there is apparently an internal baffle. Other than that they are holding up well and giving great service. My only misgiving is that they do not match the chrome pipes. Stainless and chrome are not the same "color", and the difference can be seen.

IMHO, the big draw for stainless was to prevent internal muffler rot due to leaded fuels. That reason disappeared with the introduction of unleaded fuels 20 years ago. Still it's nice to be able to polish away any blemishes.

I bought a set several years ago and installed them on my R75/6. In fact I was told I got the first set of head pipes after the factory was rebuilt following a fire. I have experienced only good in dealing with the company. The quality is excellent, the customer service is great (I dealt with Tom) and I get a lot of compliments on them. I have chromed steel mufflers and although they do not match the yellowish SS head pipes and crossover, the blue chrome head pipes didn't match either so it's a matter of taste I guess?

I'd like to put a set of stainless pipes on my 1988 RS, but I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I must have called EPCO a dozen times over the last 3 weeks at different times and days of the week.

Where are these guys ? 🙁

I found a place in England that looks to be good.... Keihan Systems

I think they have several US distributors, Bob's BMW being one of them.
