Clearview Shield on R100RS
I placed the rim of the "top hat" on the outside (under the screw head) and it bolted up very nicely. Don't snug-up anything until all the fasteners are in place.
► Helpful Hint: I found that water couldn't drain away fast enough, so that pollen and general dust collected on the dashboard after a washing. So I went to the hardware store and bought 14 small black o-rings and put those between the windscreen and the fairing. A 1/16" cross-section o-ring which fits loosely on a #10 screw will stand the windscreen off the fairing about 0.03", which allows water to exit during washing, but it's not enough gap to allow rain to enter. It also seemed to cut down on some fairing noises.
Hope this helps.
