I did the same pulse-air-system elimination procedure using locally sourced parts, with the same result. It is a good thing, and eliminates any exhaust popping caused by leaky air valves in the stock pulse air injection system.

The kit makes it a no-brainer to do, but I question the need for screws in the vacuum ports when a rubber vacuum cap works just as well and is easier to remove when you want to sync the carbs.
