No Power to Neutral Sensor
After many trials and tribulations I finally have this thing figured out but not yet fully fixed.
1) I changed out the wiring harness to eliminate variables. May not have been necessary but good to have.
2) No continuity through the neutral light in the instrument cluster. clean and energy was moving through the neutral light.
3) The brown and yellow going wire in the circuit is plane brown going between the circuit board and the start switch. Likely same as /5 shared with
1974 /6. I moved the brown wire from a ground on the circuit board to the brown and yellow on the circuit board and the bike turns over with the
clutch in.
4) Wrong neutral light switch in the transmission. After repairing the instrument cluster I had a neutral light in gear but no energy at the start switch.
Now just replace the neutral light switch at the transmission and good to go!!!!!
The degree of elation matches the degree of effort. Never quit!
Thanks guys. You were all instrumental in helping me learn and conceptualize
