Hey All,

I have a '79 R65 that had some aftermarket fairings on that when removed left me with an 8" headlamp with the original 7" OEM mounting bracket. I bought the proper headlamp bucket along with ears for the forks to compensate for the larger headlamp but if I remove the OEM mounting bracket I lose all mounting points for my instrument cluster, ignition, brake fluid lines, etc. Has anyone had luck with removing this bracket and using another system to hold the instruments? I'd really like to clean up the front end and loose the bracket completely but I may be a bit over my head at this point. Any and all thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
