Good morning
The day before I was in the middle of a long banked left hand turn and my engine cut out on my 88 r100GS W/47K miles on the clock. Initially I thought it was water in the line (our fuel quality can be poor at times). Tried starting and the battery started to drain (less than a year ago) My wife brought me a can of H2O treatment (about 30 min later). Few minutes more went by and she started right up no issues. Yesterday am started fine went to work. Stopped for a cup of coffee. Came out of the cafe went to start and just got the starter click. My boss came down to give me a jump. No problems till I went to pull forward at 3k rpm e engine cut out once again and instantly white smoke started to appear from either under the tank or he top of the engine. Not certain I was busy yanking out the battery.
Any ideas on where I should start this electrical which hunt? Does this sound like a specific issue? It has been a very wer summer in the interior of AK but there has not any prior indication of an issue. Any input is much appechiated. Thanks TK.
