My Airhead Needs Help

78 bmw r100s tank rattles on the front mount. I got a new rubber boot for the frame( it's not a boot, it is what's supposed to be there). Made no difference. I had to contact cement several layers of inner tube plus the new boot to stop the rattle. I've 4 airheads, never had this happen. Very nice unmolested red smoke. Really annoying

Just a guess, but is there something under the tank that's maybe hitting lightly as the tank shakes? relays, etc?

No, all good under there. If i put enough rubber shims under there it's no longer making noise. It's loose
