R75/5 starter lockout relay

https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/rel-775.htm
Worked only intermittently, so I replaced it with a cheapo relay without the starter-button lockout feature.
Opened up the original relay apart to test it. Pretty perplexing.
Does anyone rebuild these units?
Thanks. --John

Snowbum's website has a good detailed article on how to modify the relay through removal of the transistor and the potentiometer. A 470 ohm resistor and a diode will be soldered into the circuit board in accordance with the attached wiring schematic diagram.
I modified a spare starter protection relay in this manner and it worked as represented. The relay I modified was a take-off part from years ago due to a intermittent connection within its electromagnet's circuit and the modification did not remedy the intermittent connection (nor was it expected to).
