My apologies since I'm new to the group. I'm guessing this is a previously covered topic. I'm looking for a "free" way to lookup an airhead serial number: WB1046200G6128294. I'm pretty sur it's a 1986 R65. What I haven't been able to determine is which version it is, the 48 or the 27 hp version. Can anyone help me with the specifics on this serial number? Thanks, Rick (17703)

Real OEM says it was built in 11/85.

the only BMW 's with 27HP were the R45 models sold mostly in Europe. I don't believe there were R45s in the Mono shock series .
