Just joined based on recommendation on Snow Bum's site. I recently got my father's 1980 R65 shipped to me. Hasn't run in 20 years. 11K miles. Winter project!

Wow ! That's really special in several ways. It's always nice to get a hand-me-down from your dad, but that's an exceptionally nice bike ! There were models with higher sales figures, but the R65 might be in the top 3 best bikes BMW ever built. You're really going to enjoy riding that.
