1st question: If given the choice between 91 octane alcohol free and 93 octane with 10% alcohol, which would you choose?
2nd question: What gasoline additive should I carry on trips where I may be able to find only 87 octane gasohol?

I choose alcohol free gasoline when I can find it. If your bike's motor has not had a valve job to include updated exhaust valve seats, then some sort of lead substitute would be called for. My R75/5 has had the complete lead free valve update, so I can run any grade of gasoline in it. Please note that the presence of ethanol and the absence of the tetra-ethyl lead are two different concerns.
