Hello, I'm looking to find someone who does great factory-like paint jobs. It's for my 1983 R80. I live in Montana so I know I'm going to have to travel some to get it done. Can anyone recommend a good place? Also, what should I expect to pay for an excellent job? Thanks.
Peter, I'm just down I-25 in Casper and had some done here at S & L Classics.
Be prepared, though! I did a Kawasaki S2 about 2 years ago and it was about $750. I just did my RD350 and it nearly doubled. Both were just factory colors but they matched them.
Paint costs have gone crazy, but it was worth it for the quality.

While you cast around for your painter, I highly suggest you consider doing your tank's interior coating now, Before the painting starts. Some of those coatings are extremely messy, and doing a just-painted tank can be very stressful.
