Why are they that hard to find?? What do you think i would have to pay for a nice one?? thanks Ridefast99
I know someone out there has a price idea???? or knows were theres one ....ears to the ground guys thanks.... Ridefast99
Price guesstimate in aisle 5: depending on originality, condition, paperwork, etc......anywhere between $2,000 for a clapped out turd to $20,000 for a low mileage or restored perfect example.
Why do you want a '77? Spoked wheels?
Antny
I found one for $8500 unmolested great original paint ...spoke wheels with S.S. spokes.like new...no cracks on fairing at all... very nice clean one owner with all the tools and air pimp and backbone lock.....runs like the day it left the showroom ... I think ill buy it
Nice. Lets see some pix!

I'd say that's about the going price for one in the condition you're describing. Go for it !!
• IMHO, IF there is going to be damage or noticeable wear, one of the first places it appears is either/both sides of the fairing where the tubular steel under-tank cross-brace attaches. In extreme cases (showing on 50% of the examples these days) that area of the upper and lower fairing will break off, or break out at the 6mm bolt hole.
• And, as with all under-tank brake master cylinder models.... the fuel tank should be removed to inspect for brake fluid damage. Of course there will be some... you just want to know "how much".
• One of the most likely changes is going to be to the handlebars. The owner has most probably added bar "set-backs" or "risers". That's OK... just make sure you get the stock bars (BMW price $149 !) and stock center cushion. And be aware that out of the thousands of handlebars on the market, there are probably only 2 or 3 that will work on this bike.... making middle-aged riding comfort an elusive challenge.
