The Trio’s Response

     In response to the barrage of complaints appearing on the web from ABC members about the Trio’s behavior, one of its members, Tim Hille, published an “Open Letter from the Board to the Membership” on Dec. 28th to the Airmarshals List asking them to distribute his:

     “factual information to the general membership to guard against rumors and falsehoods propagated on various social media and email platforms.” 

     One Airmarshal complained that this wording sounds like the DGB (Disinformation Governance Board) recently proposed by the Federal Government.    

     Hille made statements like:

- “If the Board is dissolved, the club no longer exists”

(like it can’t be replaced? -ed)

- supporting the Duo “cannot and will not change past decisions carried by the Board in due course of its legitimate operation.” 

(a new Board can reverse any and all decisions of its predecessor. -ed)

- “Fact - due to an agreement between the club and the now deceased Oak Okleshen, the club is restricted from publishing content provided by Oak as online content. The Board fully intends to honor that agreement.” 

(Fact, Hille has publishing Oak’s material on line for months -- see page19 -ed)

- “our cash position has dropped by ~20% in the past 18 months” 

(according to our Treasurer, when this Board took over 18 months ago, the balance was about $80K.  Now it’s about $78K.  $2000 doesn’t equate to 20%, even with the New Math.)

     The Trio’s document goes on and on trying to legitimize and justify their behavior which, as has become amply clear, is directly contrary to the wishes of the membership at large.
