You’re invited to join with fellow riders at what is considered the greatest aviation celebration in Oshkosh Wisconsin Hosted by the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). It includes daily air shows by a huge assortment of aircraft from Piper Cubs to F35’s both day and night shows plus over 1000 aircraft static displays and vendors of every kind of goodie. Bring your favorite walking shoes as the grounds are big. The plan includes camping in what I consider to be the most economical and convenient campground as close to the action as one can get.
The event goes from Monday to Sunday, but we will be there from Thursday to Sunday. Camping will be $10 per night on a motorcycle and $15 per night in anything else. Admission to AirVenture runs close to $50 / day (18 and under free). Check out details and advance ticket sales at EAA.org/AirVenture.
Campground is directly across from the ultralight show entrance. No food provided (food truck at the campground, also numerous food vendors on the AirVenture grounds), we will bring community coolers for donation drinks and personal items. Portapotties on campground with showers available on event grounds.
There is no limit on attendees as the campground is large. No need to let us know you are attending. Please bring your non Airhead touring friends. There will be a pickup and trailer on hand for travel emergencies with limited parts available.
Address for campground is 3673 Waupun Rd Oshkosh WI. Easy access from the Southwest at exit 113 Hwy 41.
