Ride out to the middle of the Northern Nevada desert and celebrate the dinosaurs with the NV Airheads.  Barley Therapy, three nights of eats, coffee and oatmeal provided.  Donations gladly accepted.  We will have ice in the ice chests and propane in the BBQ for your convenience.  Please RSVP to the NV Airmarshal Ernie Baragar at ernie.baragar@gmail.com or 775-219-8881

We have reserved the picnic area as a group site for September 14 – 17, 2023.

The ranger will collect fees as follows:

Camping:  $15.00 per vehicle, per night (Non-NV Vehicles: $20.00 per vehicle, per night)
Miscellaneous:  Tours: $5 adults; Kids 12 and under are free
*Cash or check only. The park is not able to accept credit cards.

Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park hosts North America’s most abundant concentration of the largest-known ichthyosaur fossils. The park also preserves the turn-of-the-20th century mining town of Berlin, as well as the Diana Mine.  More info at: https://parks.nv.gov/parks/berlin-ichthyosaur

Location: Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park, from Carson City, NV take US 50 east to Middlegate, stop for a burger and the Middlegate Bar, then head south on NV 361 to Gabbs NV.  From the South find US 95 N to Luning NV (stop in Mina NV as you pass through for a burger at La Casita), take NV 361 N to Gabbs NV.  From Gabbs head east on NV 844 to Berlin Road.  Continue east on Berlin Road to the park.  Note: Berlin Road has two miles of packed gravel.  Keep an eye out for the beautiful Pronghorn Antelope who like to race across the road at a moments notice.

What to do in the middle of the NV desert?  Take the walking tour of the Icky fossils and the old mining town of Berlin NV, find some shade and sip on a cold beer.
