Due to logging operations in the Bucks Lake area our usual campsite is closed.  This year’s event is at Group site B of Cottonwood Springs Campground (5,700′ elevation), located on the southwest side of Frenchman Lake. The surrounding pine forest provides ample shade during summers’ hot afternoons. The lake, recreation area and surrounding forest and rangeland offer a wide variety of recreational opportunities and adventures.  A little warmer and closer to Nevada.  More info at https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232828?tab=info

Your donation will provide ice chests and ice, a propane BBQ, beverages, snacks, brats, burgers, spaghetti and salads for dinners.  Coffee and oatmeal for breakfast.  Or bring what you like and use the BBQ.

Directions: From Reno, Nevada, travel north on Highway 395, then merge onto Highway 70 west and travel 5 miles to Chilcoot.  From  the Great Sacramento Valley, travel east on Highway 70 to Chilcoot.  Turn north on Highway 284 at Chlicoot and continue for 8 miles to the Frenchman Lake Reservoir, then turn left before crossing the dam and travel 2.5 miles to the Cottonwood Campground.
