You may have read Don Barletti’s very well written review of last year’s Salton Sea Rendezvous in the January edition of Airmail & the February issue of BMW MOA Owners News. If you haven’t yet, please find one or both of them and you’ll be stoked for the 2021 version coming up on Veterans Day Weekend.

Meet your friends at the Mecca Beach Campground in the Salton Sea State Recreation Area for a 3-night weekend of camping, art, exploration, sunsets, camaraderie, & tacos. For over 10 years the Airheads have made the pilgrimage to California’s largest inland lake for a bacchanal of epic proportion and this year is no different.
The Mecca Beach Campground is the first campground south of the main park headquarters on the eastern shore of the Salton Sea. This often misunderstood & magical land will not disappoint, it’s a region of history & mystery. If you close your eyes, you can see the ghosts of Frank Sinatra, Marilyn, & Elvis merrily motoring their Chris Craft across the sparkling & glassy waters
Bring what you need to keep yourself warm, well fed & hydrated. The campground is paved, has flush toilets, & solar heated showers. On Saturday night your host will set up his TJ Street Taco Stand for all to enjoy.
Cost of the event will be covered by your donation on-site.
